Sensational US based Nigerian Artiste Anthony Nwaneri, popularly known as KingToneStar (Tonestar)  is a Nigerian singer, rapper, producer and songwriter.

Early in his career, KingToneStar (Tonestar) was headlining shows in the U.S with famous artists, including Rick Ross and Akon. Tonestar’s career has been blooming in America, though his roots remain in Nigeria. Raised by family members that sang, played instruments and produced music, it was only natural for Tonestar to develop a passion for music production and performance. Seamlessly, he crafts a blend of both African and American cultures which makes his work unforgettable. Flowing and rocking to Hip-Hop beats, Afro sounds and rhythm, he indulges in what is popularly known as Afrobeat.

One of the most sought after Afrobeat artists in the United States, his work speaks for itself, as he has collaborated with many of the Afrobeat greats. Tonestar produces original studio music on his independent label and has had the opportunity to work with artists like Wizkid, Skales, Sinzu, and Iceberg Slim, to name a few. In 2009 he released his first studio EP “The Preparation”, which housed the hit single “Whus Good” that featured Cap B, Iceberg Slim and Sauce Kid (Sinzu).

KingToneStar (Tonestar)  was nominated at the NEA (Nigerian Entertainment Awards) for best diaspora music artist of the year in 2010. In 2014, Tonestar won “Producer Of The Year” Award at the DMV Awards. Over the years, Tonestar has released many singles, making waves in night clubs and radios, Including the hit single “Feelings” feat. Kenyan artist, Kanja, and his most recent hit single “Love and Affection” feat. Iceberg Slim, and produced by the late great Dokta Frabz. Tonestar is currently in the studio working on his third studio EP titled “Mr. Loverman” which is set to be released by summer 2022.
