The Best Hip-Hop Artists to Check Out

2022 is shaping up to be an epic year for hip-hop music. Some of the biggest names in the industry are slated to release new albums, and fans are already counting down the days until they can hear them. Also, check out new platforms to play fair games, such as Bet22.

Kanye West

‘Yandhi’ Kanye’s 2018 album, YANDHI, was delayed indefinitely due to his involvement with politics and other personal issues. The wait for this project has been excruciatingly long- but it looks like we will finally get a release date sometime in 2022!

The album was originally scheduled to drop on September 29th of last year followed by an appearance on Saturday Night Live. It didn’t happen- and he never got around to releasing it at all. Kanye has been working hard this past year with several producers in order to perfect the album. He’s even stated that this will be his final album. So, we can expect a lot of soul-searching and introspection on YANDHI.

J. Cole

‘The Fall Off’ J. Cole surprised fans with the release of The Fall Off in February of 2020. This mixtape was released just before his sixth studio album “Revenge of the Dreamers III,” which was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards. The Fall Off is set to feature a tracklist full of old favorites from J. Cole’s previous work as well as some new songs that haven’t been released yet.

The rapper has stated that this will be his last album and has said that he’s ready to take a break from music. It’ll be interesting what direction the artist goes in following up his critically acclaimed “KOD.”

Chance The Rapper

‘The Big Day’ Chance The Rapper is one of hip-hop’s most popular artists. He has released several mix tapes and won three Grammy Awards. In July of 2019, Chance announced that he is working on his first studio album, “The Big Day.” The album is set to be released in July of 2020.

This will be the artist’s first major release since Coloring Book which was released in 2016. Fans can expect a lot of soulful tracks on the new album, as Chance has been quoted saying “I want it to be like church.”
