Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has paid a visit to the hospitals where the victims of the Lekki-Ikoyi toll gate massacre are being treated.
Last night, armed forces opened fire on peaceful protesters without warning and over 70 people have reportedly lost their lives and many more injured.
While this numbers are yet to be confirmed, Sanwo-Olu claims “there are currently 10 patients at the Gen Hospital, 11 at Reddington and 4 at Vedic; with mild to moderate levels of injuries while 2 are receiving intensive medical care.
3 patients have been discharged & we will continue to monitor and ensure all patients get the best care.”
Posting pictures of his visit to the hospitals, the Governor promises to give a state broadcast this morning.
