Nigerian music star, Wizkid and special assistant to president Muhammadu Buhari, Lauretta Enochie engaged in a war of words on Twitter last night.
This is coming on the back of Wizkid’s tweet in support of the #EndSars movement where he called out president Muhammadu Buhari for being mute about the brutality and called him an old man.
The SA to President Buhari, Lauretta Onochie like few others decided to ignore the message in the tweet and instead went for the “old man” and how he addressed the president.
Taking to her Twitter page, she claimed it wasn’t disrespectful of Wizkid to call anyone an old man, but his manner of approaching the president was dumb, hence she called him a dumb kid.
She wrote;
“Its not disrespectful to call anyone old. Its the way and manner Ayo Balogun addressed the President that leaves a sour taste in the mouth.
He exhibited crass ignorance, insensitivity and childishness. But hey, he’s a #DumbkidNotWhizKid
When he grows up, he might learn respect”
Wizkid who’s known to always be calm decided to reply the aged special assistant and condemned the way she reacted to the tweet. He reminded her she was a parent just like he is and all she had to say about police harassing youths was that. Wizkid wrote;
“lol a 77 year old man is not young ma.. You are a woman and a mother and kids are getting killed by police/sars and this is all you have to say? shame on you!!! shame on you!! I am a father and age has nothing to do with demanding for a better governance in my country!!”
